For payment operators who need an independent reading of how money actually clears—before a regulator, board, or investor asks.

Who it is for

Card acceptors, electronic money houses, and remittance firms in Taiwan that run daily settlement, merchant ledgering, and exception queues. Typical clients are preparing for an examination, a board control review, or a funding diligence room.

Result

You receive a findings memo that names control gaps in plain language, a remediation sequence ordered by exposure, and a short walkthrough for your leadership team. The memo is written so counsel and examiners can use it without translation.

Scope included

  • Mapping of settlement cycles from authorization through clearing and funding
  • Sample testing of reconciliation breaks and aged exceptions
  • Review of maker-checker paths on high-value adjustments
  • Interview notes with operations, treasury, and finance leads
  • Written findings with severity, evidence, and suggested owners

Scope excluded

  • Software development or system configuration
  • Ongoing bookkeeping or month-end close support
  • Legal opinions or license applications filed in our name
  • Penetration testing or security assessments

Provider and delivery

Led by Mei-Lin Chen with a controls specialist on site or by secured remote fieldwork. Work runs from our Penghu office coordination and client premises across Taiwan.

Process

  1. Scoping call — confirm products, volumes, and the question the audit must answer.
  2. Document pull — settlement calendars, reconciliation reports, exception policies, sample journals.
  3. Fieldwork — walkthroughs on the floor, sample testing, and follow-up queries.
  4. Findings memo — draft for factual accuracy, then final delivery with a leadership briefing.

Timeline and preparation

Typical engagements last two to four weeks depending on product count and sample size. Please designate a single operations contact, prepare the last 90 days of reconciliation files, and reserve meeting rooms for walkthrough days.

Pricing basis

Fixed engagement fees start from NT$180,000. Final quotes reflect product lines in scope, sample depth, and whether travel outside Penghu is required. A written estimate follows the scoping call.
